Birthday Special

Well, the Lord has blessed me to see another year. I have ended the year by purchasing several new backdrops, and I received a new ringlight for my Christmas present. I am looking forward to working my established customers and meeting some new customers in 2012.

My birthday is on Saturday, and I might have a birthday sale for all my clients with photos in their shopping cart but who are too afraid to pull the trigger.

Happy New Year!

Nadia: Miss NC USA 2010

We've been very busy at J. Harris Photography and Design. We had a great time with Nadia Moffet.

Bria: A Page 2012 Senior

Bria's family has supported my photography business for a while now, so I was pleased to be asked to do her senior portraits. We had a great time, and I think she really likes the images.

Tara's Birthday Bash!

As someone approaching the big 40, Tara's birthday party was a source of fun and inspiration. 40 has got to be the new 20.

Check her out. She is a fellow Tarheel, and she did it up nice.

Tisha: She Just Can't Stay Away

Tisha just can't stay away from the studio. She just found out that she made it to the second interview of a modeling/acting event. I was honored that she showed them two of the photos from our earlier session. She has promised to take me to Hollywood with her as her personal photographer. Now that is what I am talking about. You have to create your own lottery with what the gifts that God has given you.

Go Tisha.

State of Our Schools

"Service is the rent we pay for the space that we occupy". I heard this quote from one of my fraternity's former General Presidents, and that I that it sums up our responsibility to give back. Last night, I was honored to present at the Guilford County Schools State of Our Schools. My presentation was about the new Guilford County Parent Academy.

As a father of two, I truly believe that it is up all of us to educate our children. Teachers get paid to do it, but it is the parents' and guardians' responsibility to be involved with education as well.

To learn more about the Parent Academy, please follow this link: http://www.gcsnc.com/parentacademy/index.html

If you need additional ways to get involved, please consider working with Guilford Education Alliance. I am the Board Chairman, and I would love your involvement in our activities. To learn more, please follow this link: http://www.guilfordeducationalliance.org/

Take care and get involved.

LaTisha is Back!

Well, it has been a long time, but LaTisha finally made it back to J. Harris Photography and Design. She was one of the first if not the first High School Senior that I photographed. She is an artist herself, and she knows what to do in front of the camera.

Check her out!
